Central to the Christian life is communion with God and one another, but in the modern West, traditional Christians often feel isolated, especially if they belong to a communion that is quickly embracing and proclaiming religious convictions that bear less and less resemblance to classical Christianity.

Because orthodox Christianity believes in the integral connection of the body and spirit, the virtual community provided by the internet, while a beginning, is not complete enough to satisfy the Christian vision of human flourishing. It is inherently limited because any community begun here must be discarnate. Christians who make connections here are strongly encouraged to gather offline so that their relationships may blossom into genuine communion, most especially in the worship of God in Jesus Christ.
